Description:
This Winchester 1894 SRC in 30 WCF (30-30) was purchased by Henry Pratt Upham Harris, founder of Harris Upham & Co., a major securities firm purchased by Smith Barney, for an Adirondack deer hunt in 1915. It was never used since and spent about 100 years in its original Winchester soft case in a closet at Mr. Harris' home on Long Island, NY. The gun shows a few dings on its stock and forend--to be expected after such a long time in a closet. The bluing and wood finish show minimal use, and the bore is like new too. I acquired the gun about 20 years ago from Mr. Harris' son who had no use for it. This Winchester probably had less than 50 rounds shot through it. Included is original Winchester case and a box of ammunition possibly purchased when the gun was bought. This gun is a rarity in this condition.
