Description:
***********************RIFLE IS SOLD PENDING FUNDS**************************************************

Up for sale is an all matching WWII K98 rifle manufactured by Steyr-Daimler-Puch A.G. in 1944. The receiver is marked with BNZ (Military assigned manufacturer code for Steyr) and 4 for the manufacture year.  Rifle is serial numbered in the “i” block which puts it in the Spring of the year.  All metal and wood is number matching, metal is in a solid 80% condition with bluing turning to a brown patina, bore is good shape with no pitting.  Barrel channel and handguard are number matching, external wood has normal dings and dents for its age with a clear waffen proof on the cheek.  No sign of any sanding, all edges are sharp in the bolt and sling cutout.  Rifle was Duffel Cut by the returning GI, it is a clean cut behind the rear band and when assembled the fore piece fits snugly.  Rifle includes correct wartime Steyr type site hood (they are more rounded) and original cleaning rod.  This is a rifle that has the carried and used look, just a nice honest rifle that was a bring back and probably sat in the vet's closet for years.  It would be great addition to any German WWII collection.

I have tried to include pictures of all markings and visuals on rifle condition, if you have any questions or need additional pictures just let me know.

No import mark, no peened markings, no reblue, no sanding, rifle is original WWII condition.

Rifle includes three-day non-firing inspection.

Shipping is $40 in CONUS, Hawaii and Alaska will be at cost.  I will ship to CA with proper transfer documents, rifle must ship to FFL or FFL C&R, know the laws in your locality.
