Beautiful 1929 vintage L.C. Smith/Hunter Arms, sidelock and hammerless with fluid steel barrels, "Field Grade" double barrel 12 Gauge shotgun. Gun is so clean it looks unfired. The blued 30 inch barrels and blued trigger guard retain 95-98% of their original finishes, with some thinning on the high edges from handling. The receiver and side-plates retain 95% of their original, very attractive, color case-hardened finish, with thinning on the bottom of the frame from being held. The checkered Walnut stock and forearm retain most all of their original finishes, with some assorted minor handling marks. The hard rubber butt-plate fits well and is in very fine condition, with no cracks or chips. The hard rubber grip cap fits well but does have a chip out of it. The bores are bright and the action functions perfectly and has a tight, like new lock-up. Dis-assembles and assembles perfectly. L.C. Smith sides-by-sides are rarely found in this high condition.
