Description:
Up for sale today is a US Remington Model 1917 serial no. 61837 chambered in caliber .30-06. This excellent original early-production Model 1917 shows excellent finish on both wood and metal parts. The metal parts show a parkerized finish, which indicates that the rifle went through an arsenal rebuild program at some point after the First World War. The barrel date of this rifle is “R 4-18” and the bore is dark with very strong rifling. An excellent piece of American military history and a great shooter as well.
