Description:
This is a very good example of a commercial C96 made between 1911-15 that was diverted to the military. Imperial acceptance stamps are visible. This model does not have the new safety that was introduced in 1912 with "NS" stamped into the firing pin striker plate indicated on guns bearing serial numbers above 280xxx. This gun retains 96-98% of its original finish. The bore is bright and shows no pitting. It does come with a commercial non-matching wood holster/stock bearing a sn of 631. There is a small crack in the wood cover that has been repaired. Please look over the photos carefully and send any questions via email.
