Description:
This Remington Rand is a 1945 production model by the serial number and markings. The type 3 slide markings (which are N.Y. abreviated and in smaller lettering than the slide stop) put it in the last style of production. The pistol has the "P" proof mark on both the frame and top of the slide, as well as the ordnance inspector Col. Frank J. Atwood's initials "FJA" on the frame and the ordnance department inspectors stamp behind the grip on the right side of the frame.
