Here is a very cool revolver. This is a Smith & Wesson Model 25-13 "Mountain Gun" chambered in .45 Long Colt in excellent all-original condition complete with the original box, manuals, and box inserts. The Mountain Gun featured a lightweight tapered barrel instead of the standard heavy barrel that was standard on the Model 25s. This lightweight tapered barrel gave this model a unique cool look and saved on weight at the same time. This S&W is in excellent condition overall with 97% plus of the original factory blue finish remaining. The cylinder shows a drag line and there are some very small handling marks visible under close inspection. The bore is minty in this revolver, it is bright with strong rifling and no signs of corrosion or erosion. The cylinder bores are also minty and bright. The factory black rubber finger groove grips are in excellent condition with no signs of wear or tears in the rubber, and they have the S&W logo molded in on both sides above the texturing. The action is nice and smooth in both double and single action modes of operation, and the trigger breaks nicely without being heavy. This model also features a built-in action lock for making it inoperable during storage. This S&W Mountain Gun has become an instant classic, and would be a lot of fun to shoot and a sound investment at the same time.
