Description:
This is a short-chambered Browning Auto 5 chambered for 16 gage shotshells. The 27” barrel is in fair condition, having some finish wear towards the receiver and is developing a patina. There are also some small dents in the barrel near the muzzle that can be seen from inside. The bore has some pitting towards the muzzle but is otherwise undamaged. A 6” muzzle brake has been affixed to the barrel. The blued receiver has some finish wear around the edges but no pitting or dents. Belgian proof marks can be read on the receiver and the bolt and all screws are in good working condition. The walnut forend and buttstock are in rough condition. There are scattered scrapes and dents throughout most of which are shallow. There is a 7” crack on the left side of the forend originating at the receiver. There is worn checkering at the wrist and forend, and a 1” slip on recoil pad is mounted to replace the missing buttplate. Length of pull is 14”, overall length is 46-½”, and weight is 7.8 lbs.
