Description:
Chr. Schilling, German made, 10 gauge SxS shotgun with hammers and double triggers. 30 1/4" "Fine Damascus" barrels, probably cut down from 32" that are shootable but the chambers are lightly pitted. It is an all matching numbers gun that has orignal finishes although they have faded and worn in the 130, or so, years of its existence. No cracks or damage in the wood. Pistol grip buttstock with original buttplate; forearm has an Anson Deely release and a nice ebony forearm tip. The frame is tastefully engraved in a scroll pattern that covers about 30% of the area. Mechanically sound, strong hammer springs, nice trigger pull and strong lock-up. If you are so inclined you could certainly load up some black powder 10 gauge shells and have fun shooting this 9 lbs. 6 oz. double.
