How often have you seen "As New" Pythons offered with the typical "perfect except for" qualifiers: faintest holster wear, tiniest scratch, hardly noticeable chip, slightest thinning, and so on. Unless the original box has not been opened since pulling from the Colt warehouse in Connecticut decades ago the revolver is unlikely to be in genuinely "like new" condition. This top of the line Colt revolver may be the exception that you have been searching for. A real two owner Colt that languished in the original purchaser's bedroom closet for three years before retiring to the tranquility of my gun safe nearly forty years ago. I am told that the Colt box that accompanies the revolver is almost certainly original to the gun although absent the label end flap it lends only coincidence and not provenance to the offering. I have never fired this gun since buying from my neighbor (original purchaser) in the early eighties who advised at the time of sale to me that it was "test fired" by he alone. The balance of one original box of cartridges was included with the gun at the time of my acquisition. The real merit in one's consideration of this firearm lies in it's remarkable original condition however and not in any story associated with it. The pictures illustrating the exceptional condition of this particular example of Colt craftsmanship tell the real story. One hundred percent original, blemish free, no disappointments.
