Here is a gorgeous and cased Gebruder Merkel Model 203E Suhl Over/ Under Rifle/ Shotgun Combo Sidelock Set With Additional 16 GA O/U Barrels. The combo barrels were made for the gun by Kreighoff and are fully matching to the gun (including serial numbers). The shotgun barrels were made by Merkel and are matching to the gun. This gun features beautiful scroll engravings throughout the action and trigger-guard, with a semi-deep relief, double triggers, sling swivels, horn butt-plate, horn pistol grip, and right handed cheek piece. The stock has a beautiful and rich wood grain with excellent checkering. The Rifle/ Shotgun combo barrel is 23 ¾” in length. The barrel features a single folding leaf sight, narrow front sight, and front and rear claw mounts. The barrel includes a very nice German Hensoldt Wetzlar Diavari 1.5-6X Variable Scope as well. The shotgun barrel is 28” in length. The LOP is 13” to the rear trigger and 14” to the front trigger. There is a brass escutcheon inlaid into the left side of the stock by the butt with initials “KF”. The stock is overall in 98%+ condition with very faint handling marks. The metal components are overall in 98%+ condition as well. All bores are excellent. The rifle bore has sharp grooves and lands. The action is still very tight and the lever sits a bit to the right.
