Colt Detective Special, MFG in 1937, Ser# 453,488, Round Butt. .38 Special Cal. Checkerd Grips. This piece has a mint bore and cylinder, Locks up perfect in both single and double action.The grips a very nice with no ships or cracks and a percect fit. The finish is all original and in about 93 to 95 % A few freckles on the right side of the frame, a little strap wear on the front and back straps and some sharp edge wear as a gun 81 years might have. Mechanically tight and it looks as though it was not shot much as you can see on the breech and the front of the cylinder.
