#86201, Waffenfabrik Mauser Oberndorf a/n: A 30-06 Commercial Mauser Sporter Type B Made in 1922, 24” round tapered barrel, Tangent rear sight adjustable from 50 to 1000 meters, Barrel mounted forward sling swivel, Sight protector on the front ramp, Correct pear shaped bolt handle, Standard trigger, The receiver ring and bridge were never drilled or tapped, A Lyman receiver sight mounted on the ride side of the receiver bridge, The stock was cut to accept the peep sight, Hinged floorplate with a center trigger guard bow release, Traditional half-stock style stock, Cheekpiece, Near wrap around point pattern checkering on the grip only, Steel grip cap, Every serial number everywhere matches including the stock, The internal inletting remains in excellent condition, 14 5/8" LOP over the original buttplate with the Mauser logo, 7 Lbs. 9 Oz., The original barrel & receiver blue remains at 98%, The trigger guard & floorplate blue remains at 96%, The stock remains at 92%, The checkering is original and remains at 100%, The bore is excellent plus and looks like new, The bolt face has 100% blue. I am almost certain this gun could be unfired based on the bore appearance, the bolt face and the overall finish everywhere. This is nice stuff chambered in a great cartridge that has 119 years of history behind it. This piece has lived a good life for 95 years.
