The barrel is finished in a lovely satin rust blue. The bottom metal has been embellished by master engraver Lee Griffiths with full coverage foliate scroll engraving which surrounds a bulino-engraved game scene on the floor plate showing four life like cape buffalos in an irritated mood. The blue steel, trap-door grip cap is covered with more of the scroll pattern.
The stock is beautifully figured old exhibition grade Moroccan walnut with a rounded shadow-line cheekpiece and a rounded ebony forend tip. The pistol grip and the forearm are completely wrapped in fine multipoint checkering. Please see the photos for this memorable wood.
