Handy Carbine Made in 1927 in 30 WCF
Here we present a Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action Carbine, made in 1927 in New Haven, Connecticut. Production lasted from 1894 to present day with over a million produced. Again, the credit for the design of such a prolific firearm lies with John Moses Browning. The Model 1894 was the first Winchester rifle made for use with the new technology of smokeless powder. The .30 WCF or .30-30 cartridge have all but become synonymous with the 1894. In all likelihood, more deer have been taken with the 1894 than any other.
Overall condition is very good. The metal is smooth and gray. The markings are clear and legible. The walnut stock is very good. The bore is well-rifled and clean. The action is excellent.
