Description:
Very rare and high condition Ithaca Flues 11/2 grade 12 gauge.Built in 1915,this gun has rare 30" Krupp steel ejector barrels choked modified (.014") and full (.040").The 11/2 grade was only built with fluid steel barrels for 2 years according to Snyders book "Ithaca Gun From the Beginning".The outbreak of WWI cut off the supply of barrels and the 11/2 grade was combined with the grade one to make a new grade one.This gun is not only rare,but it is in remarkable all original condition.It retains at least 80% of the original case colors,98% of the original barrel blue,and 98% of the original wood finish.The bores are mint and free of any rust,dents,or pits.The wood is sound with no cracks or damage.The ejectors are strong and well timed.The stock dimensions are 141/8" LOP over the original Ithaca buttplate,13/4" at comb,and 3" at heel.It would make a super pheasant or dove gun or a vintager clays gun.This is a rare Ithaca with hard to find options and collector condition.My poor photography skills do not do justice to this fine Ithaca.C&R eligible.
