Description:
This is a Smith & Wesson Model 10 chambered for 38 special. This is a revolver was converted to 38 special by Cogswell & Harrison of London. The 3-½” blued barrel is in good condition with light holster wear on the muzzle. The bore is rough and pitted but most of the rifling is intact. British proof marks can be read on the right side of the barrel. The front sight is an orange fixed ramp and the rear sight is a notch in the frame. The blued frame has finish wear around the edges but is not scratched or corroded. The left side is marked “CONVERTED BY / COGSWELL & HARRISON / LONDON”. The blued cylinder has light finish wear around the edges and a drag mark, but the proof marks for each cylinder can still be seen. The checkered walnut grips are in good condition with no chips or gouges. The lanyard loop is missing and the blueing around the serial number has been worn off. Weight is 1 lb 13 oz.
