Description:
Winchester Model 1897 12 Gauge shotgun. Winchester 1897 Trench gun. 20” barrel with cylinder bore. Receiver is U.S. marked. Metal has a parkerized finish. Stock is very good, with B.P.D. marking. Bayonet adapter/heatshield is a four hole WWII era. It is our opinion that this is a put together trench gun. This may have been an arsenal overhauled WWI trench gun done post WWII. However, we are inclined to believe in the former. Very good overall condition.
