Deluxe Waffenfabrik Mauser Oberndorf Sporting Rifle: SN:93xxx Cal: 300 U.S. (30-06) Commercial Mauser Sporter Type B. Receiver marked “Waffenfabrik Mauser Oberndorf a/n”. Barrel is 24”, tapered ½ round, ½ octagon with full integral rib and no markings as typically found (usually of retailer) on 4.5” recessed rib area just forward of sight. Marked "300 U.S. on top just front of action. Bolt handle w/ matching number to action. Claw mount “see-‘through” rings with period Carl Zeiss Jena 6x power scope w/ fine crosshair reticle. Tangent rear sight w/ 50 to 1000 meters elevation adjustment. Sling swivel and ramped front single bead sight. Standard single trigger. Inside-the bow- release triggerguard with hinged domed floorplate marked “GERMANY”. Nicely figured European walnut cheek-piece stock with point pattern checkering on forend and grip, small horn chevron and schnable forend tip, sling swivel on stock, horn p/g cap, and Mauser logo marked buttplate, with 14 ¼” LOP.
This is a fantastic deluxe pre-war sporter from an iconic maker in the venerable 30-06 caliber. A beautiful gun for the collector or discriminating shooter.
Condition: Gun is in very nice original condition. Most all blue remains with minimal thinning on floorplate and triggerguard edge. Slight freckling on bolt handle and triggerguard edge. Wood has original finish and scattered handling marks requisite with its age. Small chip of wood missing behind top tang with no further cracks observed. Action operates smoothly with crisp trigger pull. Optics clear and claw mounts functioning nicely. Bore is bright and clear with strong rifling.

As a Type 08 FFL license holder, Foxtrot can legally and efficiently import your guns into the USA. We offer discreet concierge style service when helping our clients import their firearms. We are registered with US Customs and have a valid continuous surety bond in-place. The process is relatively simple and typically takes about 3 to 6 weeks to get the BATF Form 6 Import permit issued. We have contacts throughout the world that can assist with the necessary export permits and freight logistics.
