Wincenz (Vinz) Urbas (Ferlach), Austrian double barreled shotgun, Model D, 12 gauge, s/n 36.168 (Mfg. 2/1947), ACCORDING TO THE WATER TABLE AND BARREL FLATS THIS WAS THE 168TH GUN MANUFACTURED BY WINCENZ URBAS FOR FERLACH. IT WAS THE 202ND GUN PROOFED BY FERLACH IN 1947.
RECEIVER: double underlocking lugs, hidden crossbolt, scalloped box lock, double triggers, locks up on face tight as a drum, OUTSTANDING SCROLL AND GAME SCENE ENGRAVING ON ACTION AND TRIGGER GUARD (NINE VERY REALISTIC ANIMALS IN GAME SCENES),
BARRELS: desirable original 28 ¼” length, 2 ¾” chambers, choked Improved Modified & Xtra Full, AUTOMATIC EJECTORS, excellent bores, hand filed swamped rib, brass bead front sight, marked Vinz Urbas on left barrel and Ferlach on right barrel, barrels retain original blue in excellent condition fading somewhat in areas due to age, barrels touch at end as they should and ring nicely when lightly struck by wooden dowel (no loose soldering issues),
STOCK: nicely grained European Walnut, cheekpiece with shadow line, pistol grip with factory grip cap, perfect skip-line checkering on pistol grip and forearm, bone teardrop inlay in buttstock and forearm tip, 14” LOP over factory hard rubber buttplate, DAC 1 1/2”, DAH 3”, comes up nice, long slender splinter forearm with factory Anson & Edge (Deeley) fastener, ORIGINAL FACTORY FINISH IN PERFECT CONDITON,
