Description:
SALE PENDING Pre-64 Model 70 Featherweight in the venerable 30-06 caliber. This is a very clean featherweight. The stock is very clean with only a few scattered dings but no gouges. Metal is in very good condition with only 2 small rub marks on the aluminum floorplate (shown in the pictures) and a mint bore, about 97-98%. The gun is complete with original sling swivels, front sight hood and original rear sight. The rifle was made in 1961 and has a 544XXX serial number. The rifle has a non-original butt pad (Decelerator) which was professionally installed. I don't believe that the stock was shortened, 13 & 7/8" LOP to the butt-pad, which measures 7/8". In additon, it has been glass bedded. No California sales, sorry. This gun, as with all used guns, should be checked by a trusted gunsmith before firing. Packaging, Shipping and Insurance to a U.S. FFL holder will be at actual cost.
