SOLD

­HRA M1 Garand 5497xxx, made about 1954. HRA 7-54 barrel with a like new bore. Great looking HRA stock with DAS (stars & eagle) stamp and circle “P”. No import marks. All marked parts are HRA, everything is detailed below and shown in pictures.

This M1 is in excellent+ used condition, one of the best we have ever seen. Note the condition of gas port, op rod tip, and gas cylinder screw, indicating very little if any firing.

The rifle has been disassembled, cleaned, and lubricated. Parts were clean for photos, coated with oil and greased where appropriate when reassembled.

Two M1 enbloc clips (no ammo) and sling included.

Receiver: marked “6528291” on leg, heat lot G. Excellent condition, no pitting, very little finish wear even at corners.

Barrel: marked “HRA 6535448 7-54 RS36” in op rod slot, “P” with punch mark, “M”, and stars and eagle stamp. Chrome pads at gas port. Bore is bright like new, rifling mint. Crown excellent, chamber in the white. External finish is in exc. condition, no pitting.

Lower band: two piece flat top with roll pin

Clip latch: square front type, unmarked

Op rod: flat side, marked “6535382 HRA.”, excellent condition, very little finish wear.

Op rod catch: HRA/SA/IHC type, unmarked

Follower: late type, unmarked

Follower arm: no bevel, unmarked

Follower rod: long fork, riveted, unmarked

Bolt: marked “6528287 HRA U”

Elevation knob: marked “HRA”

Rear sight base: late SA/HRA type, unmarked

Rear sight aperture: SA/HRA type, double track

Trigger housing:  marked “6528290-HRA N”

Trigger guard: stamped with stamped hook

Trigger: late type, no extra hole

Hammer spring plunger: late type without wings

Gas cylinder: wide sight platform, flat on top of rear ring. Gas cylinder group finish is in very good condition, a few light scratches.

Gas cylinder lock: late “high hump” type, unmarked

Gas cylinder lock screw: cross slot poppet valve type, marked “HRA”

Stock: walnut, HRA as shown by the shape of the “horseshoe”. DAS (stars and eagle) on left side, circled “P” on pistol grip. No cracks or repairs, far fewer than average dings/scratches, excellent appearance

Handguards: walnut, no cracks, perfect match to stock

Buttplate: round plunger postwar type, excellent condition

Sling: used, commontype, MRT marked but date not legible
