On Hold Pending Deposit / German P.08 "G-Dated" Luger Pistol, Mauser code: S/42, serial # 9850 d, cal. 9mm, has a 4" barrel with a very good bore, strong rifling with a hint of frosting along its length. The metal surfaces retain about 90-92% original blue, the loss due to fading to plum on the straps, muzzle and contact point wear and some minor pinprick pitting on the frame. The straw parts are fading to a pewter patina with some minor oxidation staining, the right side of the magazine release showing the strongest remaining temper. There's still strong fire temper blue finish remaining on the magazine release spring, sear spring, breech block pin and the coupling link pin. The chamber is G-dated and all of the visible numbered parts are matching including the grooved firing pin. The checkered walnut un-numbered grips rate very good with only minor flattening of the points. Included is a single blue-bodied aluminum-based magazine numbered "5172/m" with an "SE-63" acceptance stamp. Overall a nice example of a G-dated Luger that's in very good plus - very good plus plus. plus. Inv.: # 1-1317
