Description:
Inv. 6286
Imman-Meffert, (German Guild) Mdl. "Highest Quality", SxS Shotgun, 12 Ga. 2 3/4' chambers, Krupp Steel 28" barrels choked Full & Full, LOP 14 1/8".

This gun, built as a 12 gauge, weighs a mere 6.5 lbs. This 1920s quality German gun is unmatched by any other and makes a great addition to any serious shotgun enthuses’ collection.

The gun features selective ejectors, two firing pin cocking indicators, and a famous Anson and Deeley cross bolt. It doesn't get better than that.

The matte blued finish is 90+% at least. The little loss there is, is contained to the usual sharp edge silvering mostly on the checkered raised rib and some very slight toning to the barrels near the receiver. There are also a few light surface pin pricks scattered about mostly near the muzzle.

The lightly hand engraved receiver assembly, opening lever and trigger assembly are all case colored with about 60-65% remaining.

The hand checkered European walnut stock retains about 80-85% of the original lacquer with a few small abrasion and small nicks and dings. The lacquer loss is due to a couple of droplets of water that must have dripped on it in the past. There are no splits or chips in either the forearm or the buttstock. The checkering has no dings or flattened points.

The gun locks up tight, the cocking indicators work as does the selective ejectors. The gun functions as smooth as silk. The bores are immaculate and mirror bright with no sign of any use. What a beautiful field gun that should be a joy right out of the box and loaded with De Luxe features that usually cost many thousands more...... $795.
