Description:
12 gauge 2/ 3/4" chambers. This fine, high quality, gun that comes with two sets of bbls, one 30" of steel, and the other 28" Damascus. Both sets of bbls have flat, matted, pigeon ribs, are engraved "Von Lengerke & Dettmold" US agents of New York. Bbl flats are stamped with Belgium proofs,and "NON POUR BALLE". Barrels are stamped with steel type. Bottoms of barrels on both sets are stamped with two and three-quarter inch chambers. Case hardened box lock action with ornamental sideplate features automatic safety, crossbolted dolls head third fastener, side clips, and double triggers. Action is engraved in typical Quality 30 style with near full coverage varying sized simple scroll within geometric borders. Rose bouquets and very well detailed flying pigeons are superimposed over this scroll.
Stock is made of dense European walnut square pistol grip that measures 14 inches over checkered horned butt plate. Gun has closely spaced point pattern checking with line borders at the grip. Matching splinter ejector fore end has Anson release. Steel 30".
Condition:
Action is tight with both sets of barrels. Damascus barrels retain over 90% of the original brown with numerous light mark's. Action and side plates retain approximately 20 to 30% of the original case color. The balance is bright silver. Stock retains nearly all of it's hand rubbed oil finish, edges slightly rounded with a few subsequent marks, checkering recut borders are excellent. Bores are excellent. Bbls. are on face. Ejectors are in time.
