This is a very well taken care of Model 1885 Winchester High Wall Single Shot Rifle manufactured in 1893. Chambered in 38EX. (38-90 Winchester Express) caliber. Only 379 rifles ever made in this caliber!. The wood and metal on this Rare rifle is approx. 95% to 99%% + remaining! Beautiful case colors ! Action is smooth and tight. All mechanics are like new. Has three special order sights that are all in excellent condition. Front sight is the rare Lyman No. 5 Beach Combination with an ivory bead, the rear barrel sight is Winchester Express, and the Tang sight is a Lyman No. 1 with fold down peep. Has the original 30",#3 round barrel with an excellent bore with a mirror shine and sharp rifling. The barrel address and caliber markings are in excellent condition. Screw heads are high condition and unmolested. This comes with one original, unfired W.R.A.Co. 38EX. round and 20 once fired original W.R.A.Co. 38EX. casings that are quite rare on their own. Also, come with an email confirmation and a Fax sheet taken from the Winchester Factory ledgers located at the Cody Firearms Museum showing its original configuration.
