Description:
Antique Match Safe/vesta in the shape of a dogs head. This is a very old match safe. The top is hinged and is tight. The knurled cap surface is were the match head would strike. It is brass with some brownish patena. See pictures. Measures 2" tall and 1" wide. This match-safe will be a prize possession of yours. This vintage match safe dates from the late nineteenth century. Excellent shape for the age. There are no splits, no breaks, and no repairs. Lid opens to almost 90 degrees and closes with a secure click. Hinge is excellent. The collectors have been hard after these and that makes them hard to find. Will hold the small vest pocket matches. We include a 10 pack of good strike anywhere matches with the safe. Just think of the looks you will get when you pull this out of your vest pocket and light your cheroot.
