Description:
This early Civil War .44 revolver, serial number 12206, was shipped to the Commanding Officer at Governor's Island, New York, on Sept. 28, 1861. It has been carried, but since it still retains four of the cylinder safety pins and the bore is very good, it must not have been fired many times. It is very tight, the grips are excellent, and the cylinder scene is plainly visible. It is the early four screw variation, adapted for a shoulder stock. It comes with its original, U.S. military holster and the factory letter. A very nice package.
