This Winchester M-1917 w/Serial No. 68845, 30.06 was mfg about March 1917 just about when the US got into WW I
These Bolt Action Wichester are made of rugged and correct heat treated materials from the get go were the sought
after trench gun in the Big War. This survivor has great bluing throughout w.a nice smooth action and an excellent barrel
w/an good twist an nice readings of 2+ on the muzzle and 3 on the throat. The stock is solid w/no visible cracks or chips.
There are some handling marks which I suspect were from gunrack use.
Overal this is to me an NRA Very Good. A nice gun for a collector.
