Description:
This is a pre 64 Winchester Model 70 chambered for 270 Winchester. The 24” blued barrel is in good condition with a small spot of freckling but no other damage. The bore is also in good condition. The front sight is a fixed bead in a ramped dovetail and the rear sight is adjustable for elevation. The blued receiver has some finish wear around the edges but is not corroded. The receiver has been drilled and tapped for a scope mount and a peep sight. The blued floorplate, trigger guard, and bolt are in similar condition. The walnut stock is in good condition. There are some scattered scratches and scrapes, but few disturb the finish. There is unevenness in the glossy finish and it has drips in some areas. There is checkering at the wrist and forend and the stock is fitted with sling swivels and a checkered buttplate. Length of pull is 14”, overall length is 45-½”, and weight is 7.8 lbs.
