Description:
Remington Model 1894 CE Grade 12 gauge Shotgun, manufactured in 1907. Weight is 7 1/4 pounds with 30" damascus barrels of the Etoile pattern. The barrels are well blacked with about 80% remaining. Barrel dimensions are: Length 30", Right choke 10 points, left choke 13 points. The top rib is concave damascus, 9/16" at the breech tapering to 11/32" at the muzzle. The bores are clean and lightly pitted. The bottom rib is also concave damascus and the frame is case hardened with most of the color faded away. The metal is unmolested and the 80% coverage engraving is crisp and clear. The action is very tight and on-face. The gun has no mechanical issues and the ejectors work properly. The dimensions of the wood are: LOP 14 3/8" to front trigger, drop at heel 2 7/8", drop at comb 2 1/4". There is an old Silvers pad in good condition. It is nicely fit with Neider Point. The stock is not shortened. The checkering is professionally refreshed and the finish was also professionally redone in the past. This is a very good example of America's finest Boxlock Shotgun being sold well below its value.
