SIAMESE (THAI) Mauser 1903 Bolt Action Rifle
Very Few Made at the Tokyo Arsenal in Japan
Here we present a scarce example of a Mauser 1903 Bolt Action Military Rifle, made for the Siamese military at the Tokyo Arsenal in Japan, circa the early 20th Century. The dust cover is one shared in common with the rifle that the Japanese adopted. The markings on the rifles are in Siamese with a Chakra, or ring, on top of the breech.
Condition is good. The barrel has been shortened, the rear sight removed and top hand guard absent. The metal parts retain much blue. Markings are clear. Stock is smooth and near fine. The bore has good rifling and is in very good condition. The action is strong.
