Solid Pocket Carry Revolver for the 19th Century
Here we present an antique Colt New Line .32 Revolver First Model, made in 1874 in Hartford, Connecticut. Spur Trigger “Suicide Special” manufacture was fierce during this time, and Colt struggled to compete against the countless small shops making very similar, less expensive revolvers, though not necessarily of the same quality.
The revolver features 5 shots of .32 rimfire. The top of the barrel reads “COLT’S PT. F. A. MFG. CO./HARTFORD CT USA”. The overall condition is very good to fine. The nickel finish is 75%. The markings are legible. The serial numbers match from the grips to the frame. The grips are in very good condition, shiny and smooth. The bore is sharp and clean. The action is excellent. Here is a very nice 19th Century Colt that would have made a constant companion is someone’s pocket.
