Description:
Colt Police positive 2" revolver Ser# 344,351. This is a all correct colt Police Positive 2" revolver from 1927. .Colt started putting 2'' barrels on Police positive 's late 1926 1927 1928 . The demand for 2'' revolvers was there .Colt did not have the Detective special yet so this was the only 2'' gun available. Sort of the pre detective special if you will. This piece is very rare to find in factory original correct condition. This gun unfortunatley was refinished by someone un known to me..The barrel is the correct police positive barrel with no patent dates on the right side..It has the correct smooth trigger and top strap.The barrel marking is the correct one that says 38 special in large letters. Its in 38 special caliber and the bore and cylinder are excellent.Locks up very nice in single and double action. The grips are like new, sharp checkering and in 98+plus condition. This piece is a fine example of a 2'' Police positive with a price that reflects the fact it has been very nicely high polish restoration.
