Here is a very scarce early First Model 1873 Special order rifle, with an extra long 28", extra heavy barrel. Chambered in 44-40, with a nicely functioning action, original dust cover, and set trigger. It has a good bore, and shows a rich even dark patina throughout the metal and has nicely fitting medium colored wood. Wonderful rifle.
