Description:
A nice original Springfield Model 1879 Trapdoor Carbine in .45-70. Carbine has an excellent chamber and shootable bore about good. Wood is excellent with only a minor hairline crack near rear saddle ring bar retainer and nice cartouche. Buttplate marked US and with trapdoor and low and behold both cleaning rods and the broken shell extractor present. Everything we see is correct according to various publications on these Trapdoors. A nice representative carbine. Star is present after serial number. C marked rear sight. Shipping and insurance is 50.00 and No ffl or c&r required for purchase.
