Description:
Very Scarce Allen and Wheelock Sider hammer .22 rimfire, Second Issue with short button tip cylinder pin entering fromfront of frame with large retaining screw under forward section of frame, and hammer strikes at center. Grooved topstrap for sighting. Cylinder has engraved circular, roll-engraved scenes of a mounted rider, a standing indian, the Seal of the State of Massachuttes, a ship and military trophy designs. Nickel is in good condition overall, cylinder is shiny. Most wear is on the backstrap. Action is crisp and wood grips are uncracked. ABOUT 1500 OF THESE WERE MADE.
This firearm has been in the collection of my grandfather and now me since about 1940.
