Description:
Weatherby Mark V Deluxe L.H. in .240 Weatherby Magnum. A very scarce Mark V Deluxe rifle in this combination of a Left Hand action and .240 Weatherby Magnum caliber. The rifle features a 24" sporting barrel the full size Mark V action with nine locking lugs, verses 6 locking lugs found in the lightweight Mark V action; Mark V Deluxe walnut stock with Weatherby's famous basket-weave checkering and rosewood grip and forend caps. A mid 1970 era "Made in Japan" Weatherby rifle. Serial number, H76794. The rifle includes a time period Leupold VARI X-II 3-9x40mm scope with duplex reticle, mounted in time period Redfield bases and rings. The rifle is in very good condition but has some age and handling wear. There are marks and scratches related to sling use at the bottom of the stock in the sling swivel stud areas in the forend and butt-stock. There are also a number of scratches and impressions in the finish and wood, which most are in the belly and the lower portion of the butt-stock. There is a little blue wear at the round edge of the barrel at the muzzle end, and the blue is turning plum color on the bolt handle and knob. The bore is in excellent condition, it is bright and shiny with strong lands and grooves. The scope is in very good condition with the lenses in excellent condition, though there are a couple of scratches in the black finish at the edge of the objective-bell and eye-piece. The rifle and scope weigh 9 Lbs. This pre-owned Mark V Deluxe is being sold as a rifle and scope package.
