BEAUTIFUL CUSTOM OUTSIDE HAMMER PEABODY SINGLE SHOT SPORTING RIFLE IN .45-60 CALIBER, superbly bone and charcoal case colored action, lever and hammer, 26" medium weight round barrel, built exactly like the rare factory Peabody Sporters made from 1860s to the 1880s, the action retains all the very sharp Peabody markings and patent dates, correct ladder rear sight with slide, also correct style simple rounded forend and crescent butt plate on butt stock- it simply looks like an original in perfect condition! The caliber is .45-60 as longer cases will not fit the Peabody-Martini action (this is simply a shortened .45-70 case and was popular in the 1876 Model Winchester), exc. bore, would make a great black powder cartridge well-balanced hunting rifle, very few shooters can claim to shoot one of these!
