Description:
This is a Winchester pre-64 Model 70 bolt action rifle in .30-06. The serial number dates to 1961. The barrel is in Very Good condition with a blemish in the finish on the right side about 5 inches back from the muzzle. The bore is bright and shiny, and the crown is Excellent. Sights are a folding rear and ramped front bead. The front sight hood is not present. The action and bottom metal are Excellent with little wear evident on the bolt knob. The checkered walnut stock is in Good condition. There are handling marks, but the checkering is still strong. The plastic butt plate is still present as are sling swivels. This rifle has been equipped with a Redfield 1 piece scope mount base with 1 inch rings. These are included in the price of the rifle and will not be removed and the rifle repriced without them
