For sale, an all-original, 100% correct Standard Products M1 Carbine dated 10-43. It is serial number 2060431 and is Standard Product's 1st and only production block which ran from serial number 1982520 to 2352519. Standard Products only made a total of 247,160 carbines, which made them one of the smallest producers of M1 Carbines during WW2. This particular M1 Carbine has been gone thru from top to bottom and checked for originality, and comes with a "M1 Carbine data sheet" which shows what every single part is marked and what variation each part is. We guarantee it to be 100% correct. This carbine is in very good condition overall but does show some finish wear consistent with a gun that was issued and probably used in combat during WW2. The finishes are all factory original and the different tones of parkerizing on the small parts is correct, as many of them were subcontracted parts that were finished before being shipped to Standard Products. The bore is in excellent condition; it is bright with strong rifling and no pitting or erosion. The original high-wood "SJ" marked Walnut stock has a really nice and crisp U.S. Ordnance Wheel cartouche on the right side of the butt, and is free from cracks or repairs. This carbine comes complete with a "SS" marked magazine which is correct for Std. Products, and a U.S.G.I.sling and oiler. If you have been looking for a very elusive Standard Products carbine that escaped the rebuild process and remains in the same configuration it left the factory in, this is it! This carbine was most likely brought back in a G.I.'s sea bag as a "bring-back" trophy, and it's very interesting to imagine what history this carbine witnessed first hand during the war. Another great thing about this particular carbine is that it shows enough wear that you could shoot it without hurting it, but it is still nice enough to be collectible.
