Up for sale today is a US Springfield Model 1877 Trapdoor serial no. 190694 (1882 production) chambered in caliber .45-70. This outstanding original Model 1877 Trapdoor was updated to a Model 1884 sight. The stock shows original cartouches, and the metal and wood parts show excellent original finish. The bore is bright and the rifling is excellent. An outstanding example of a Trapdoor Springfield and a great shooter as well.
