Cal 44 RF. Factory Engraved by Hoggson featuring his typical scene of a Labrador dog on one side and scroll engraving with the punch dot shading on the other side. Gun is in very fine condition with the bbl having turned a pleasing plum brown color. Excellent Henry markings. Square corners. Action functions very well. Original deluxe fancy grade wood is in very good condition with a light coat of varnish added. Any Henry rifle that is Engraved will have deluxe wood or they are not correct. Looks very good with the correct engraved brass buttplate. Orig sling swivels. Brass receiver has toned to a pleasing dark mustard patina. Side plates fit well. Original sights. Traces of silver plating remain in the protected areas under the lever and around the hammer. A very fine Engraved Henry rifle that comes complete with a 4 page letter handwritten by George Madis attesting to the originality and condition of this rifle.
