Company, with others being contracted to make tens of thousands more. The M1860 has been called the “light” cavalry saber, but it is by no means small or very light. The M1860 was first issued in 1862 and was used by the Federal Cavalry through the end of the Civil War and beyond, into the Indian Wars in the American West. This specimen is marked on the right side of the ricasso with “U.S./A._._./186_”. This sword was inspected by A.D. King during the Civil War. The number “133” is also marked on the pommel and the handguard. The overall condition is very good. The blade is still bright, protected by the scabbard, while the brass has a darker patina. The leather is still intact on the handle, though the wire wrap is gone. The scabbard is in good shape but oxidized. Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Blade is 35 inches in length. Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail! Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $950 #30125 SOLD |
