STUNNING 99% ORIGINAL BLUE COLT MODEL 1902 MILITARY AUTO, SERIAL No. 42707 WITH COLT LETTER SHOWING SHIPMENT IN 1926 TO HIBBARD, SPENCER, BARTLETT & CO., CHICAGO.
I have 8 Model 1902's which I am listing and 2 Model 1900's. This 99%'er is one of the two best. All blue, bright and shiny, excellent shiny bore with no pitting. Minor dulling along slide edge. Correct clip markings "MIL. Colt.38 CAL" Total issue of the 1902 Military Model was only 18,066 pistols! Rear slide serrations. This is a little used firearm. I have compared it's condition with all 1902' on the site and only ONE is comparable. The pic tures tell the tale.
This firearm was in the lifetime collection of my grandfather, John Benjamin Gillespie (1899-1973) and has been in the family since the late1940's. I believe it was confiscated at some point by the Aberdeen Police Department, Aberdeen, Washington, where my grandfather was Chief of Detectives. This is one of those firearms on every Colt collectors wish list. The
