Description:
Marlin Model 1893 Take Down Rifle in .30-30 Winchester. 26" Octagon barrel with full length magazine tube. Metal condition: Good barrel and forend cap blue with faint frosting, and fair blue to the magazine tube but turning brown, action, lever and butt-plate with patina. There are strike marks to the bottom of the receiver and forend metal. No doubt caused by a previous owner attempts to tighten the barrel to receiver and take-down lever (See 3rd Photo). The lock up is very tight but the take-down lever sticks out a bit. Wood condition: Fair condition withn no cracks but numerous scratches, nicks, dings and small gouges, and there is an old thick coat of lacquer finish that looks to have been added decades ago. Bore condition: Fair grey bore with frosting throughout but no pitting.
