Description:
Firey blue Colt Model 1902 Military, serial number 30729. Left side has the two line Colt patents ending in 1902. New after-market design of the safety from the Model 1900, has the crossbar of the safety emerge through the rampant colt on the left side moo of the slide. Slide stop. Lanyard ring and proper clip marked "MIL COLT 38 CAL" Rear slide serrations lanyard ring rounded hammer.
Blueineg is 90&, brown patina on parts of thl pme grip, small areas of white metal near ejection port and muzzle end of the barrel. On the ride side end of the frame nearest the muzzle, under the side is a smal capital "E" stamped on the frame. Front sight appears to have been modified with the addition of an inset flame orange sight bar, small scratches in the blueing, grips are in excellent condition, all marking clear and crisp, action is tight and bore is one of the best I have seen (and I am listing 8 of them here). This one is third best condition of the collection. Colt letter requested
This is a relatively low number since the numbering began at 15,000 and went backwards to 11,000, then began again at 30,200 and ran to 47266. Only 18,066 of the Mitary Model were produced.
