This is a very handsome, all-matching gun that retains about 85-90% of the original blue on the metal with some mild fading and silvering at the muzzle, as well as on the high edges and bearing surfaces. The frame retains about 75-80% of the original blue with some mild silvering and gray fading along the high edges and the bearing surfaces of the toggle and receiver. The trigger, magazine release, takedown lever, safety, and ejector have traces of original straw color remaining with the balance turned to an evenly distributed mixture of pewter gray and dark freckling. The checkered, wedge-fastened walnut forend is in fine overall shape, but does exhibit some small handling marks, and some light flattening of the points. The walnut grips are numbered to the gun and are in very good plus condition with some light handling marks, as well as some flattening of the points. The original, matching numbered stock is in fine condition with only minor handling marks and some scattered light surface blemishes on either side. A correct, unnumbered magazine is included. This is a very nice example of a highly desirable Luger carbine, and and rates very good-fine condition overall. There is a small import mark on the underside of the barrel.
