This is the Grade 1 12 Gauge Double Barrel Hammer Gun with decarbonized steel barrels. It has the Top Action and Double Bolt, rebounding Locks and large Head Strikers. There were only approximately 16,000 Model 1882s manufactured from 1882 - 1888 with the lowest serial number being around 1,000 and ended near the 17,000 number. This gun is Serial Number 2,569. This is the best original condition Remington Model 1882 that we have ever seen. It belongs in a major Remington collection.
