COLT POLICE POSITIVE {FIRST ISSUE) .38 SPECIAL, 98% BLUE, IVORY GRIPS. SERIAL No 217071 IN VERY FINE CONDITION. No pitting, chips out of left rear corner of yellowed ivory grips. No scuff marks. Minor pits on cylinder. Last patent date on the top of the barrel is 1905, making it "First Issue." Pistol has a small area between grip and trigger guard making this best for small hands. A beautiful example of a more than century old firearm. It has been in the family gunsafes since it was confiscated by my grandfather, Chief of Detectives of the Aberdeen Washington Police Department, sometime in the 1950's and has been in the family since then.
